The premise…

You probably know the saying, “Perspective is reality” but maybe what you haven’t thought about is that your thoughts shape your reality and YOU are in charge of your thoughts. As my mom would often say when I was growing up, “Thoughts shape your reality, so choose the story that serves you best.” Now, I know you may be a little hesitant to adopt that out of context- thinking that what she was suggesting was ignoring what was happening and instead making up my own truth. In some ways she was, but here is the catch- you are too. You and I could watch the very same movie but come away with different perspectives on what happened. There are core truths that remain the same and those are fundamental to hold onto, but our interpretation of the events- well they shape us. When you recognize that life is whole, it is made up of light and dark, but depending upon where you place your focus, you will feel either light or dark. I developed a concept a long time ago I like to call “The Light Project” where I teach others to train their brains to find the light- meaning train your brain to find what is working, what up lifts you, what is going right in yourself, your life, and the world. I promise when you start to scan for the light, you will feel lighter.

What is The “Light Project”?

It is cognitive reframing made easy- intuitive mantra’s for your every day use. It’s the place where cognitive behavioral psychology meets spirituality.

Inspired by my background in Cognitive Psychology and my deep understanding of the nature of energy, this is where cognitive psychology meets spirituality.

You are familiar with the concept of wholeness. Light and dark, yin and yang. Our brains naturally tend to skew towards darkness- what is not working, what is not going well, what is declining, and as a result experience lower vibrational emotions such as fear, shame, guilt, fatigue, despair, hopelessness and so on. It starts first in our minds and then follows in our energy.

There is another choice. The other choice is to focus on the light - what is working, what is going well, what is expanding and when we do this, we begin to experience higher vibrational emotions such as joy, excitement, hope, creativity, and openness.
